Testwood Lakes Sailability
Boating at your pace, adapted for you.
Everyone can go sailing
We are passionate at Testwood Lakes Sailability about getting people on the water, no matter what it takes. Come and try boating activities for young people, adults and groups at your pace, adapted to your abilities.
We are practised at helping people in overcoming barriers, be they physical impairments, long term health conditions, mental health problems, or just getting older.
First time here? See our Get Sailing page to find out what we offer
We welcome both individual members and groups from disabled workshops, care homes and schools etc. There is a wheelchair accessible pontoon fitted with hoists to lift wheelchair users in and out of boats. Each boat will be sailed by a qualified skipper with opportunity for the sailor to develop their abilities to a level appropriate to them. A safety boat with qualified skipper and crew will be on hand at all times.
We currently offer sailing, subject to weather conditions, every Monday (excluding Bank Holidays) and Thursday between 10am to 4pm from April till October each year. We will update the website with sailing status, due to weather conditions on each sailing day. Please do check before travelling.
